Friday Performance Cancelled Due to Emergency Weather Conditions

Due to the cancellation of Montgomery County Public Schools today (Friday, March 2), and in observance of potential emergency weather conditions, Whitman Drama must unfortunately cancel our Friday night performance of  The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time previously scheduled for 7:00 pm on March 2nd.
In an effort to continue the plan to share this remarkable performance and clear example of exemplary student-artist work with the school community three times this weekend, Whitman Drama has decided to reschedule a new performance for tomorrowSaturday March 3rd at 1:00 pm.  The cast and crew of the production will therefore present the show at both 1:00 pm  and  7:00 pm on March 3rd.
Tickets previously purchased for the Friday, March 2nd performance may be used in
the following ways:

  • General admission tickets for Friday will be honored at  either  the 1:00 pm matinee performance OR the 7:00 pm night performance on Saturday, March 3rd
  • Reserved tickets for Friday will be honored as reserve tickets with the same seats for the 1:00 pm matine performance on Saturday, March 3rd.  Ticket holders may also gain entry to the evening performance, they are just not guaranteed their same seats. (We do have some very good seats left, however).
  • Any questions, concerns, or problems that result in patrons being unable to attend a Saturday, March 3rd performance can be emailed to

Despite this minor setback, Whitman Drama, Walt Whitman High School, and MCPS are proud to always place student safety first – and to have the opportunity to share this one-of-a-kind show with our school community two more times tomorrowSaturday, March 3rd .   Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you at The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

Cast Party Help Needed

Thank you so much for those who have already volunteered to help with the show. We still really need some folks who are willing and able to help with the cast party–chaperones and those willing to lead the charge. These can be cast, crew, and/or pit parents, so please join us in making sure we have a cast party for the entire group of students working on this production. The Bannockburn Clubhouse has already been reserved, so that part is all done!
